Bank of America wants distress home-owners to give up their deed and in return they can rent their house back at market rates. Such a good deal, what?s your opinion? The "Mortgage to Lease" program, which was launched this week, will be available to fewer than 1,000 BofA customers selected by the bank in test markets in Arizona, Nevada and New York. Participants will transfer their home's title to the bank, which will then forgive the outstanding mortgage debt. In exchange, they will be able to lease their home for up to three years at or below the rental market rate. The rent will be less than the participants' current mortgage payments and customers will not have to pay property taxes or homeowners insurance, the bank said. unreasonable eviction?
My landlord brought over a hand written eviction notice that doesn't state why they are evicting us. We have always paid the rent on time and have receipts to prove it. We keep the house in good shape clean and free from trash. The only thing they will say is that have had 8 calls regarding our dogs.....I don't understand how, the dogs have NEVER left the yard and their had never been a complainst filed against them. They rarely bark unless someone comes on the property. The landlord claims the neighbors are afraid because we have large breed dogs and that their homeowners insurance will go up. They knew about the dogs and the breed prior to us moving in almost 4 months ago, and the dogs are listed on the lease agreement which is month to month. They have never spoken to us regarding the dogs before and have not giving us the opportunity to try and correct what they perceive to be a problem. This came out of the blue. Can they legally do this.....the eviction notice says if we try to fight it in court we could be subject to paying their court costs...is this just a scare tactic? My husband spent 4 months helping them remodel this place. He refinished cabinets and floors and renovated the bathroom for them....their are still many things that they have left undone. As soon as they got the first months rent and the place was livable everything stopped. Help....should I let this go to court and fight it? But that's just it....my dogs have NEVER caused a problem to the landlord or the neighbors....and they damn well know it! The names, ages and breeds of the dogs are listed on the agreement.....they knew about the dogs prior to us moving in.....how can this be legal!!
