Does State Farm home insurance cover act-of-god accidents?
There was a power surge last night and it knocked out my hdtv. Will my insurance go up if I file a claim to get $200 to help replace it. And does anyone with State Farm know if they will replace the TV or just give me $200..

The plug to the electrical socket for the bosch dyer has blown up damaging the plug. What do I do now?
BOSCH Classixx front loading dryer. I am in UK. While we were using the dryer, heard a small blasting noise with burnt plastic smell. On investigating noted that the fuse of the plug to the electrical socket has blown damaging the plug as well. I am not sure what to do now. Any suggestions of how to fix it? The machine is now 3 years old. It has ran out of its warranty. I remember reading somewhere that even without warranty we can get repairs done by the manufacturing company. Is that true. I have home insurance cover. So if everything fails I can claim it with them. Thanks for any help. Senthil
